 a
muralist, illustrator and musician currently residing in the mission district
of San Francisco. Born in Northern California, André began painting
under the apprenticeship of Japanese tea master and national treasure
Shozo Sato at age 13 while working in his tea garden. He has been living and working
in San Francisco since 1998. He has also lived and worked in new york city and Northern Italy.

An accomplished musician and singer-songwriter, André wrote and recorded
the full length album 'soliloquy'
with his gypsy folk rock band in 2006.
Since then André has been busy painting murals and signs for local businesses around the bay area. His most recent 'illuminated' mural titled 'light a candle to where you are going' was
unveiled in dec of 2009, it can be seen at the amnesia bar on valencia st between 19th/20th.
André is currently working on a new album and art show for June 2010 |
